Elon Musk unveiled Tesla’s new electric truck, the Tesla Semi. The Tesla Semi will have 805 kilometers of autonomy with a load of 36 tons and a speed of 0 to 100 km / h in 20 seconds. A diesel truck takes about 1 minute to do the same. The cost per kilometer is $ 1.26 against $ 1.51 for a diesel engine. The Tesla Semi will also be cheaper to maintain because it lacks transmission, engine and gearbox. Inside, the driver is in the central position with two touch screens as dashboard. The truck is also equipped with power steering, automatic track maintenance and emergency braking.
Elon Musk also introduced the Tesla Roadster, this luxury sports car is the fastest in the world because it is able to cross the 400 km/h and go from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds. A single charge on the Roadster can travel 1000 km.
With its two new products, Tesla hopes to gain new markets despite the difficulties experienced by Tesla as production delays, production figures down (260 Model 3 manufactured in three months, against 1,500 expected) and a loss of 671 million dollars.
