World Motor Show 2016

In October 2016, was held the World Motor Show at Porte de Versailles in France, which is the largest event dedicated to new cars.

The major car manufacturers at the show: Renault, Peugeot, Citroen, DS, Nissan, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Honda, Audi, Skoda, Toyota, Porsche, Ferrari, Volkswagen, Opel, Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz.

The main automotive suppliers at the show: Valeo, Faurecia, Michelin, Plastic Omnium, Bridgetstone.

During this visit to the world motor show, most car manufacturers had focused on the electric because they have all introduced electric vehicles. Electric vehicles will undoubtedly be the future of the automobile and this international auto show has given a taste of the omnipresence of the electric car in the future. Electric vehicles have certain advantages:

Economical: the engine wears very little, and therefore has a long life, low maintenance of the electric vehicle because few moving parts.
Convenient: easier to use, no clutch, no gearbox.
Clean: silent, does not pollute.
Electric vehicles have significantly reduced noise pollution and do not emit particulate matter and CO2, thereby improving air quality, reducing noise and thus improving the quality of life and health. Tesla Motors is a good example of a car manufacturer that relies on electric vehicles, Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X vehicles were on display at this world’s auto show.

There were also other electric vehicles like the Opel Ampera-e, Renault ZOE Z.E. 40, Smart ED and Volkswagen e-Golf Touch. This world car show was especially an opportunity to see the prototypes of vehicles. For example, the GLM G4 prototype which is a 100% electric sports sedan had good design and good performance.

Luxury vehicles like Porsche and Ferrari have attracted a lot of people. Porsche’s stand was more accessible than Ferrari’s. This show was also an opportunity to ride in exceptional cars.

It was possible for visitors to test different vehicle and Formula 1 simulators, as well as virtual reality headsets.

This show has exhibited many exclusive vehicles and the booths of the car manufacturers were huge. More than 400,000 square meters were divided into 5 halls and there were more than one million visitors for this world car show.
